I seriously heart my husband. He's a soulmate. A keeper. A saint. And today is our anniversary.
Pictured above is the chapel where it all began for us. Isn't it lovely? Although it's not that old, it still embraces many of the aesthetic qualities of a historic structure. The classic architecture, the large windows pouring in natural light. Oh, that's something I remember so well on my wedding day...Just walking in the chapel with the photographer before the service and feeling the warmth and beauty of the sun light.
Look inside...
What's interesting is that we traveled from Atlanta to get married in this chapel, it was our dream to be married at the beach. Now we've come full circle because we ended up moving to the very town where we were married. Since we live a bike ride away from this chapel we get to see it and hear the bell chime on a daily basis. It's quite romantic!
Look at these tall windows...
The offspring are always sure to remind us [as if we would forget] when we bicycle past the chapel that this is where we got married. It gives us a chuckle.
Remember the pavilion I showed you on yesterday's post? Well it also happens to be the first place that husband and I had our picture made as a mr. and mrs. How 'bout that? I remember feeling so giddy when that picture was taken. Still am.
So, if you're wondering what we're doing on our anniversary, I'll tell you. Me, husband and our four hitch-hikers are driving to my sister's wedding a couple of hours away. Huh? Yes, my little sister is marrying the man of her dreams tomorrow...
Did I mention I introduced these two? [grinning with pride] The groom is the first neighbor we met when we moved here. So I made the introduction [sneakily] one weekend when she came down to visit. The rest is history. We love them both. Now my sister will be my neighbor [literally one block away] and that will constitute some colorful posts on my part.
I'll be back after the weekend with plenty of pictures and some great designer interviews around the corner...
P.S. I love you husband [thanks for putting up with me and always showering me with love + support. But no, you cannot have the pimped out landrover]
