Sometimes I'll see a certain thing and become obsessed with it. Like now. I saw this while looking through the Martha website and thought, "must have." I love everything, the fabric, the pockets, the whole idea of a small hanging stylish organizer. I emailed my sister, who has recently learned how to sew, and told her we both need one [or ten] of these. She agreed. But she's nine months pregnant and probably won't have a chance to sew something like this. I'd be a mean sister if I asked. Hmmm, was that passive aggressive? Don't answer.
After my email I quickly created the illusion in my head that three of these chic little hanging bags would solve all of my organizational challenges. All while looking adorable on the pegs in the back hallway. I then pictured a scene of offspring dressed in unstained and freshly pressed clothes, quietly playing and eating a tray of healthy foods while I sat with a hot cup of tea next to a cracked window with birds chirping as I wrote letters to friends. [sound of a crashing dish and someone yelling, "mommmmmy!"]
Illusion officially gone.
I don't have a catch-all desk of any kind on the main floor of my house, so I'm quite disorganized and lose important papers daily I've got my precious paper goods scattered among several ugly plastic boxes. And it drives me crazy.
Does anyone know of an Etsy seller who makes these or a sewing pattern I can find like this? I'm dying for one. Pretty sure that fabric is Amy Butler, and I love the look. Email me if you've got some juicy info.
Signed,
