After seeing this, I was inspired to make these little paper baskets below. This was very easy and supplies were only about $4. They're simply made from white paper lunch bags that I bought at Target. A pack of 50 costs about $2. Lay them flat and cut out a reverse "T" shape using scalloped scissors. Then cut off the extra tab and tape the end into a handle. Easy. Specific directions are here.
I haven't filled them with goodies yet, but here is one from a batch I'm making. I had some leftover stickers from another project, so I popped one on the side of the basket. A monogram sticker would be cool too. How adorable would this be with three little pastel crayons and a tiny notepad peeking out of the top? I'm a big believer that kids don't always need tons of candy in an Easter basket. Trinkets can be far more interesting!
These would make an adorable Easter party favor for classmates or even a teacher. They really don't have to be just for kids. I may give a few to my own peeps. How about bringing one into to your boss? Load it up with a few Godiva chocolates and a Starbucks giftcard. I bet you'll get an extra day off.
Getting back to kids, you can also make a construction paper grass basket or even a flying bird basket which are both pretty darn cute.
I had plenty of leftover paper strips after making my lunch bag baskets and saw this so I made small accordion tags as labels with the scraps.
