My favorite part of the Thanksgiving feast has always been the pumpkin pie. 

Once that turkey is sliced and dinner begins, the pumpkin pie becomes my ultimate mission.  It's all I can think about.  Mmmmm, something about the texture and sweet spice just turns me into an unreformed pie monster.  I'm ashamed to say that if left all alone in a room with an entire pumpkin pie, I could polish off the whole thing. 

So if you're like me and fancy the sweet side of pumpkins, here are a few not-your-average pumpkin recipes.  And if you're sitting next to me this Thanksgiving, you've been fairly warned that I may very well be a pie hog.

Looking at these cupcakes, it's one of those moments where I say, "Now why didn't I think of that?"

[Oh my gosh, if the offspring saw this they would rally around me, hold me at squirt-gunpoint and demand I whip up some of these bad boys right now.  Actually, I'm starving as I sit in my bed drooling at this image. I wish I had about a dozen on my night stand. I would consider sacrificing a limb to eat just one. Okay, maybe twenty.]
